Tractor Pull kick starting the Dresden Exhibition

The Dresden Exhibition will get kick started on Friday night with a tractor pull hosted by the South Western Ontario Tractor Pullers Association and the Ontario Tractor Pullers.

Alicia VanEsse, an executive member with the Dresden Agricultural Society, says the event starts at 7:30 p.m.

“It’s not only the South West Tractor Pullers but it is also the Ontario Tractor Pullers as well. So there will be more and it will be bigger,” she said.

VanEsse said the cost is $10 for adults and kids 5 and under are free.

“There will be big tractors from all shapes, sizes and kinds that pull a sled that it weighed down. They have to reach 300 feet. Not only is there tractors but there are different sizes of pickups as well as big trucks.”

VanEsse said it is loud and a lot of fun.

“If you have young children you should bring ear plugs.”

VanEsse said the Demo Derby will be held on Saturday at 4 p.m.

“We are expecting 5 classes filled with cars, trucks, vans in many different styles. The vehicles are decorated and they sup they up and we put them in a ring and they smash into each other for fun.”
