Ground-breaking held for Habitat home – See Photos

A ground breaking ceremony was held Saturday with Habitat for Humanity Chatham-Kent and the Davis family in Wallaceburg.

Last month it was announced that Ryan and Becca Davis, along with their three children Isaac, 8, April, 7, and Olive, 2, would be the recipients of a brand new home built through the Habitat for Humanity program.

The ceremony took place at 160 Forhan St. in Wallaceburg, the location of their future home.

The house will have three bedrooms, and once finished will include a special room built for Ryan’s medical needs.

Ryan has been on dialysis for almost four years and undergoes over three hours of treatments every other day.

Habitat for Humanity Chatham-Kent was founded in 2009 and built their first home in 2013.
